We’re excited to announce that Highwood Group has contracted building services specialist HBS Group Southern (HBS) to provide the mechanical, electrical and solar PV package for 119 energy-efficient new homes at phase 5 of North Stoneham Park in Eastleigh.
The construction of the award-winning North Stoneham Park first began in 2018 and is being developed through a partnership between Highwood Group, one of the South coast’s leading independent developers and Vivid, Hampshire’s largest affordable housing provider.
After demonstrating a consistent high-quality, performance and service to support the successful handover of 192 units at Homewood Park and 120 units at Avenue Park over the last 3 years, HBS is now relishing the opportunity to support Highwood with the delivery of phase 5.

Forming part of the ongoing Homewood Park development, phase 5 will see the construction of 1 and 2-bed apartments and 2, 3, 4 and 5-bedroom houses. Of the 119 properties, 70 have been acquired by Vivid and allocated as affordable rent or shared ownership housing.
When complete, the major mixed-use residential community will provide 1200+ much-needed new homes, a school, retail units and a community centre, all set within beautiful parkland and open green spaces that the local area can be truly proud of.

Complete M&E building services for award-winning residential developments
For phase 5 of North Stoneham Park, HBS will supply a fully integrated package of plumbing and heating and electrical installation services to meet the specification for the private and affordable house types.
Lead by dedicated contracts managers and an experienced on-site M&E workforce, HBS will manage the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of all gas, heating, water, electrical system requirements.
HBS’ management team will closely monitor the progress and ensure a first-class service is supplied to Highwood over the next 18 months to meet programme delivery targets in line with compliance standards and HBS’ own in-house quality management system.
Helping Highwood to meet sustainability targets at North Stoneham Park
Alongside the mechanical and electrical services package, Highwood has entrusted HBS New Energies expertise once again to design, supply, install and commission the solar PV requirements for phase 5 at North Stoneham Park.
HBS’ in-house team designed a cost-effective 114 kWp roof-integrated solar PV scheme, achieving the sustainability targets whilst optimising roof space and performance across multiple house types and apartment blocks, all within the client’s specification and budget.
103 x Complete In-roof Solar systems will be installed in total, which will generate an estimated 92,860 kWh of zero-carbon electricity per annum, offsetting annual carbon emissions by 48 tonnes.
The sleek and aesthetic solar panels will help to power the new homes at North Stoneham Park with a sustainable energy source, providing valuable energy savings for residents long into the future.
