We’re excited to announce that Taylor Wimpey (Southern Counties) has chosen HBS Group Southern (HBS) as its preferred mechanical, electrical, and solar PV delivery partner for Woodlands Chase. The flagship site forms part of the new sustainable Whiteley Meadows community.
With the planned 36-month build programme now underway, HBS’ Mechanical and Electrical divisions will supply, install and commission all plumbing, heating, and electrical systems for 182 new homes.
Our renewables division, HBS New Energies, is managing the design, installation, and commissioning of the roof-integrated solar PV requirements. This will help to ensure the housing development meets its carbon reduction targets.

Installing M&E and new build solar PV systems at Taylor Wimpey Woodlands Chase
Designed for modern 21st living, Woodlands Chase features a selection of 2, 3, 4, and 5 bedroom residential units. In total, 27 affordable homes will be available for rent and share ownership.
The major residential project is the latest combined services contract secured by HBS Group Southern from the Southern Counties office. It builds on the long-standing partnership with the residential developer that spans over 20 years.
The project win comes off the back of HBS’ successful track record across several Taylor Wimpey Southern’s sites. These include Kestrel Park, Burridge Green at Whiteley Meadows, The Chariots at Augusta Park, Alver Village, and Kings Gate.
Taylor Wimpey is constructing Woodlands Chase alongside its nearby development Burridge Green at Whiteley Meadows. Together they form part of a wider plan being delivered by the North Whiteley Consortium; which includes Bovis Homes, Crest Nicholson, and JGP Lakedale.
When complete, North Whiteley’s new sustainable community is set to provide 3500 new homes. As part of the plans, a secondary school, two primary schools, a nursery, two local community centres, playing fields, and new infrastructure is being provided.
