We’re pleased to announce that HBS Group Southern are to provide a plumbing, heating and PV solution for the Louisberg Estate, Bordon, an eco-friendly green town development from leading developer Barratt David Wilson Homes.
The new 500 home neighbourhood is on the grounds of the former Louisburg Barracks. Covering 21 hectares the site will provide a mixture of new and affordable homes across its New Quarter and Heritage Quarter schemes.
HBS are very proud to be working on this regeneration project, one of the UK’s first green towns. The scheme is set to offer a wide variety of 2 bedroom apartments and 2, 3 and 4 bedroom family homes. Each new home will be highly energy efficient, meeting Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4.
The New Homes PV division of HBS New Energies are managing the design and installation of solar PV to all dwellings across both the New Quarter and Heritage Quarter schemes. In total, 462 solar PV systems are being installed and will generate an estimated 200,000 kWh in zero CO2 electricity per year. The inclusion of solar panels will also deliver an estimated 100 tonnes in CO2 savings.
HBS Mechanical have been awarded the New Quarter scheme from Barratt Homes and will provide a complete plumbing and heating solution for 287 dwellings.
Lead by a dedicated contracts manager, the mechanical division will manage the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of all gas, heating and water system requirements.
