HBS New Energies completes solar PV installations for 98 new eco-friendly homes at The Willows. The new sustainable development has been successfully delivered through a collaboration between Radian, Eastleigh Borough Council and Drew Smith.
Construction is now complete at The Willows in West End, where HBS New Energies has been a dedicated new build solar contractor managing the design and installation of solar panels to 98 new eco-friendly homes.
The mixed tenure scheme has been developed in a partnership between housing provider Radian, Eastleigh Borough Council and developer partner Drew Smith. The Willows includes a mix of 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes, with 35 properties allocated for affordable rent and shared ownership.
All dwellings meet the Level 4 Code for Sustainable Homes standard for energy and water and feature a range of energy efficient and sustainable technologies including solar panels and high specification fixtures and fittings throughout. In addition, six houses are designed to PassivHaus standards that will result in a 75% reduction in space heating requirements compared to standard UK new builds.
