HBS New Energies (a trading name of HBS NE Limited), a market-leading renewable energy services expert and part of the Brickability Group PLC, are today excited to announce plans to rebrand to UPOWA.
UPOWA is currently the product business within HBS NE Limited. It develops and supplies roof-integrated solar and electric vehicle charging products to help the housebuilding and construction industries tackle the significant sustainability and carbon-reduction challenges to deliver zero-carbon ready homes and buildings.
The move to bring HBS New Energies under the UPOWA brand will allow the business to accelerate the journey to net-zero and provide their customers – the UK’s leading housing developers, construction companies and commercial businesses – with a “one-stop-shop” of sustainable technology products and specialist services, all from one trusted source.
The rebranding of HBS New Energies to UPOWA will be effective from 16th May 2022. Customers will continue to receive company updates as the business rolls out the changes.
HBS New Energies has a long-established name in the renewables industry. Over the last 14 years, it has built an unrivalled track record in the housebuilding, construction, and commercial industries.
Over that time its expert team has designed and installed solar PV systems on more than 15,000 buildings nationwide. These include new build homes, schools, civic buildings, hospitals, universities, manufacturing plants, distribution centres and water treatment sites, to name a few.
Today, HBS New Energies is the solar PV, battery storage and EV charging technology partner of choice for forward-thinking organisations. It is at the forefront of future-proofing new homes and buildings for net-zero, reducing energy costs and carbon emissions.

1. When will the rebrand of HBS New Energies to UPOWA officially happen?
HBS New Energies will unite under one common brand from 16th May 2022.
2. Who is UPOWA?
UPOWA is a trading name of HBS NE Limited, a leading provider of sustainable technology products, designed specifically to meet the needs of the housebuilding and construction industry.
3. Why is HBS New Energies changing its name to UPOWA?
The move to bring HBS New Energies under the UPOWA brand will allow the business to accelerate the journey to net-zero and provide customers – the UK’s leading housing developers, construction companies and commercial businesses – with a “one-stop-shop” of sustainable technology products and specialist services, all from one trusted source.
4. Will HBS New Energies service offering change?
The design, installation and maintenance of sustainable technologies that include solar PV, battery storage and EV chargers will not change. The business will continue to operate in the housebuilding, construction, and commercial industries. By aligning services with product lines will strengthen the business’s integrated offering to help customers achieve their net-zero requirements.
5. Will contracts need to change?
Contracts will not change. They will remain under HBS NE Limited. There will be no action needed to novate existing contracts unless you are contacted by us. All contract orders moving forward must be raised in HBS NE Limited.
