HBS Group Southern competes integrated mechanical and electrical services package for 84 new homes at Dandara Windroos, a new 100% affordable housing development in Littlehampton, West Sussex.

In September 2019, independent housebuilder Dandara (Southern Region) awarded HBS Group Southern with the mechanical and electrical building services package for 84 dwellings at their new Windroos housing development in Littlehampton, West Sussex.

As part of Dandara’s expansion, Windroos at Littlehampton is the first site underway from the Southern regions office. The exciting project offers a collection of 2, 3 and 4-bedroom contemporary homes, designed and built to a high standard of quality and energy efficiency.

Now complete, the NHBC Pride in the Job award-winning site consists of 72 houses and 12 apartments, with all units allocated as affordable housing for housing association Guinness Partnership.

Summary of new build M&E services

• HBS Electrical and HBS Mechanical managed all aspects of supply, installation, testing, commissioning of the project’s gas, heating, water and electrical system requirements for 84 new homes.

• The internal and external electrical services completed by HBS’ experienced new build electricians included energy-efficient LED lighting, 18th edition consumer units, general small power, smoke detection, MEV, TV+BT and external lighting.

• The mechanical services undertaken by HBS’ highly skilled plumbing and heating engineers include domestic hot and cold water and central heating, soil and wastewater systems, sanitaryware and rainwater goods.

• To ensure compliance with regulations, our on-site teams adhered to HBSGS in-house quality process during 1st fix, 2nd fix and final installations. Having such a focus on strict quality control has ensured a consistently high standard of M&E workmanship throughout the building programme and helped Dandara Windroos scoop an NHBC Pride in the Job Award in 2020.

• HBS Aftercare will now provide a 24-hour 365-day after-sales service to the residents at Windroos for two years.
