We are delighted to announce that HBS Mechanical has been awarded the mechanical services and solar thermal installation contract for 126 dwellings at the next phase of Cala Homes Kings Barton, a large-scale, low carbon community under construction in North Winchester.
Having demonstrating a strong performance installing all mechanical and renewable energy services throughout Kings Barton phase 1B. HBS are now excited to continue this successful partnership with Cala Homes (Thames) and help drive forward their vision for phase 1A of the flagship development. This latest contract award takes the total to three prestigious Cala Homes projects now being supported across the Southern region.
Kings Barton is a major part of Winchester’s requirement for homes in the local plan. Developed over five phases, the new sustainable 2,000 home suburb will offer a collection of 2,3,4 and 5 bedroom family homes and apartments, with 800 units identified for affordable housing.
HBS Group Southern’s mechanical division are to supply a complete plumbing, heating and solar thermal installation contract for all private units at Kings Barton 1A. They will be focused on ensuring the scheme meets its renewable energy obligations and Part L requirements.

Lead by a SSMS qualified contracts manager, HBS Mechanical’s on-site teams will manage the supply, installation, testing, commissioning and statutory compliance of all gas, heating, solar thermal and water system requirements.
