We’re pleased to announce that HBS Group Southern has secured the plumbing, heating and electrical services contract for Saxon Corner, a new development from Barratt David Wilson Homes (Southampton). The large-scale scheme situated in Emsworth will feature one, two, three and four-bedroom properties. Consisting of 147 new homes in total, there will be a 30% allocation for affordable housing.
This is the first combined M&E contract to be awarded to any contractor by the housebuilder’s Southampton region. So we are extremely delighted that our multi-disciplinary expertise and capabilities have been recognised. It further demonstrates how HBS Group Southern is fast becoming the trusted mechanical and electrical contractor of choice for the UK’s leading housebuilders across the South.

Saxon Corner is the latest residential housing project awarded to HBS by the 5 Star housebuilder in recent months. It follows contracts secured at the Quarter Jack Park and Canford Paddock schemes in Dorset and Madgwick Park in Chichester.
Delivering integrated mechanical and electrical services for Saxon Corner
Project-based contracts managers from HBS Group Southern’s Mechanical and Electrical divisions will oversee all aspects of supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the gas, heating, water, electrical system and ventilation requirements.
Our experienced on-site workforce will complete all staged installations in line with the client’s quality expectations, NHBC standards and HBS’ in-house quality management system. HBS’ management team are on hand to closely monitor the progress and ensure a first-class service is supplied to Barratt Homes over the next 30 months to meet Saxon Corner’s build programme delivery targets.
