HBS Mechanical appointed as the preferred plumbing and heating contractor for 296 new homes being constructed at the dual branded residential development in Berewood, Waterlooville from leading housebuilder Barratt David Wilson Homes.
The first phase of Barratt David Wilson Homes (Southampton) major residential scheme at Berewood in Waterlooville is now underway. Showcasing the dual brand of Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes, the respective Berewood Green and Berewood Heath schemes offer a mix of energy efficient, high specification 2, 3 and 4 bedroom houses designed for modern living.
In total Berewood Phase 3A will provide 296 new high quality homes for the area, of which 118 dwellings are allocated for affordable rent and shared ownership. This much needed affordable housing boost is being overseen by Rund Partnership on behalf of Grainger PLC.
This major development located to the west of Waterlooville will be ongoing for a number of years, with the masterplan providing a total of 2550 new homes, infrastructure, a new school, community facilities and amenity areas.
Project delivery
- HBS Mechanical on-site teams are currently delivering all aspects of supply, installation, testing, commissioning and statutory compliance for the mixed-use development’s gas, heating and water system requirements.
- The contracted scope of mechanical works for the house and apartment types include; domestic hot and cold water and central heating, soil and waste water systems, sanitary ware, rainwater goods throughout.

All installations will comply with Gas Safe Regulations, Building Regulations, Part P and IET Wiring Regulations and the standards set by our in-house Quality Management System.

A dedicated HBS Mechanical contracts manager is leading a team of on-site engineers, who together are working collaboratively with Barratt David Wilson Homes’ site teams to ensure a fully inspected and compliant new home.
- Upon completion, HBS Aftercare will adopt the scheme and provide a 24 hour 365 day after sales service to the residents at Berewood Heath and Berewood Green for two years following handover
