Alfred Homes, a leading independent housebuilder across Hampshire and the Home Counties has awarded HBS Group Southern the contract to supply, install and commission all electrical and solar PV system requirements for their latest housing scheme Woodhill in Chandlers Ford.
The prestige development in Woodhill Close is a collection of twelve exceptional new homes and will offer a mix of detached and semi-detached homes of a traditional external design with imaginative and contemporary interiors, all finished to a high specification.
HBS Electrical will be supplying a complete electrical installation package. Managed by a dedicated project team that will include a contracts manager, site supervisor and a team of qualified electricians. Together, they will support the developer’s site management throughout the build programme, whilst ensuring the efficient delivery of electrical services to the highest standard in line with our Quality Management System.

Alfred Homes go green with solar
In addition to this, the Group’s renewable energy division HBS New Energies has been appointed to design, install and commission solar PV systems to all twelve luxury new homes at Woodhill. To help ensure the development meets its planning conditions and performance standards our design team has specified a mix of on-roof and integrated solar panel systems across the varied roof types.
When complete, the 27.26 kWp new build solar PV scheme at Woodhill will generate an estimated 24,711 kWh in annual zero carbon electricity. The integration of solar panels will help to offset the developments carbon footprint by 12,355 kg, per year. This is the second solar PV installation contract awarded to HBS New Energies by Alfred Homes this year.
